My Masters of Digital Media major work. Although it is open for interpretation, the work represents the intertwining life cycle of a $10 bill and a male. The bill returns to the male at different stages of his life to show how he reacts to money. Although the character realises that there is more to life than money towards the end, the character is actually in an endless and inescapable cycle, as he shows his son (which really is himself) how to plant a money tree.

I made this short animation in my second year at university. I wanted to try something different from stop-motion so I rotoscoped a sequence of images and timed the actions to the lyrics in the music. I created the images in photoshop.

A 2 minute animation follows Dan Levy (host MTV live) on a trippy run through downtown Toronto. We rotoscoped and hand painted over 1200 frames over a 3 week period and the final result was well worth the effort.

Raw Nerve was invited to create promotions for the Brit Awards, the biggest music awards in the UK, which attracted over 6 million viewers. Combining contemporary visuals with dynamic animations of previous winners, the artwork was also adapted for print advertising of the event. raw-nerve.co.uk

all 2770 frames were traced by hand over original footage of Jamie singing.
The video’s style was inspired by early hand made 80′s pop promo’s and re-runs

The video was recently featured in specialten magazine alongside work by
Jonathon Glazier and an interview with Joze Gonzalez. “Yougotmeup” was
screeed at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood as part of Resfest, alongside
work by swedish filmaker Jonas Odell
