A veteran of the German army of WWI, Jewish by origin, finds himself a prisoner in a Nazi German concentration camp during WWII. His only possession is his Iron Cross medal, which one day – out of sheer despair, he decides to wear outside for inspection. This act leads to a series of random, seemingly unconnected elements to come together.

Short film about love and little things who can change your day.

In this animated short film, a pile of leaves becomes a source of anxiety, contention, and joy. The music is from Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C.

The story was inspired by my girlfriend’s grandfather, who was, shall we say, fastidious in his lawn maintenance.

All the animated assets in the film were created in Adobe Illustrator. Animation was done in After Effects and the audio was mixed in Soundtrack Pro.

Take a trip back with me to one of my earliest animations and the origins of my favorite character – CLAYMAN!

This is his first cartoon of a series. One day I plan on revisiting him and doing him right, now that I know a bit more about animation. Still I love this one for it’s amateur aesthetic… call me nostalgic…. and excuse the audio issues.

Here are some of the animations I did for EA’s ‘Boogie Superstar’

A little info on the game…
Boogie Superstar – by Electronic Arts Montreal, is a fun dance game designed exclusively for the Wii and targeted towards tween girls. It also features Karaoke in the gameplay, letting players sing.
The game involves players waggling the Wii Remote to simple two-beat prompts, such as swinging the Remote side-to side or up and down in time to on screen directions

I would like to mention that I have ONLY done the Animation. The rigs, models, concepts, characters were done by the ‘Boogie’ team at EA Montréal…and I’m thankful to be part of such a talented group… Kudos to Luis Alonso for setting up some cool ‘animation friendly’ rigs!
