A 2 minute animation follows Dan Levy (host MTV live) on a trippy run through downtown Toronto. We rotoscoped and hand painted over 1200 frames over a 3 week period and the final result was well worth the effort.

This is my graduate film from the university of sunderland animation course. i wanted to create a detective film in the film noir tradition using 3d animation. and also create a very action packed animation.

The film is the first part of a two part series. I’m beginning work on the second part now. and that should be complete sometime in september.

The film was created in maya and edited in final cut pro.

Raw Nerve was invited to create promotions for the Brit Awards, the biggest music awards in the UK, which attracted over 6 million viewers. Combining contemporary visuals with dynamic animations of previous winners, the artwork was also adapted for print advertising of the event. raw-nerve.co.uk
